It was hard to get into at first and sometimes the story jumps between past and current time a little too quickly so it's hard to keep track of what's happening but the ending was good. Didn't realize this was the first book in a series.…

Abandon is a teen romance spin on Greek mythology. Personally I had difficulty enjoying this book due to the flat characters, and a rushed, convoluted ending that attempted to make sense of the rest of the book. I would recommend Abandon…

Looking for a romance that's a little darker, plus a little mythology to sweep you away? Meg Cabot's retelling of the Persephone myth, a trilogy, is a great read. I eagerly read the series!

I Liked the book it had a good story line and put a great new spin on Greek mythology. Would recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun and entertaining read.

I liked it, but i think that cabot casted aside her strong female characters. John is always there to save the day, and all Pierce does is swoon over him. i think it could have had a lot of potential, i mean the plot idea was good, its…

A really good book. Kinda like a fanfiction about the myth of Persephone.

The story’s basic idea is ingenious. Abandon is like the modern day version of the myth of Persephone. The mystery surrounding Pierce’s past makes this novel suspenseful and its ending surprising.

It worries me that at no point during the course of the three novels in this series do either the protagonist or the author seem to realize that "John" is controlling, narcissistic, and potentially abusive. Kids, it's not romantic when a…

I loved this entire series. I love mythology and this series certainly satisfied my cravings. Read them all. You will not be disappointed.

At the age of fifteen, Pierce Oliviera slipped, and fell into a nearly freezing pool, bumping her head. She died, and went to the Underworld, in which she met Hades, ruler of the underworld, or as he prefers to be called, John. For some…

I loved the book. I did. But the title does go well with Meg Cabot abandoning her feminist books. I loved how she put the woman with power but never had the man be a weakling. Guess that's out of the picture now. Overall good book. But…

I feel a mix of emotions when I think about this book. I loved the concept and the story line. I also enjoyed the flashbacks the main character had, though it annoyed me when they were in like, the middle of the book (maybe the author did…

Meg Cabot’s mythological masterpiece ‘Abandon’ is amazing. It combines modern times and Greek mythology into a love story told from the perspective of Peirce, a teenage girl. Making Hades a teen himself, and him being able to come and go…

Stopped reading. I couldn't get past the weird juxtaposition of a realistic teenage life and a very Greek-style underworld complete with boats and an angel of death style dude on a horse. There's a parody novel called "Awoken" where a girl…

This book had me on edge. Meg Cabot is an epic author as James Patterson, Stephenie Meyer, Claudia Gray, Becca Fitzpatrick, and Lauren Oliver. Can't wiat to read Underworld. Let the fun begin.

I enjoyed this book, with it's intriguing blend of YA romance and Greek mythology, with a particular focus on the Hades and Persephone myth. Pierce is a bit slow on the uptake at first, but the mysteries of what happened in her past and…

Told in a non-chronological order, which makes it feel as if it is moving a little slower than it actually is. However, the story is compelling and I look forward to the future books in the series.

This book was great, but i got a little confused with Pierce's perspective. The plot was really good. I can't wait for the second book.

I love Meg Cabot. She's a real author. and knows how to tell a story. i read the last book of the queen-something triology. i want to say that i was so dissappointed. i believed in her, but i felt like she let me down in some way. i took…
