I love this book so much I bought it and another similar title by the author. I also own Jessica Seinfeld's book (which was featured on Oprah and famously resulted in a lawsuit between Ms. Seinfeld and Ms. Lapine, whose recipes were plagirized). I like her approach to including nutrition in foods kids think are allowing them to "break the rules". My child loves beets, broccoli, and most other healthy fruits and veggies... but she's a kid! At the end of the day, she wants to have a brownie or mac & cheese when a friend is over. And she doesn't have to know that her little indulgence is making me snicker inside because... hey, that's not a brownie. That's a spinach brownie!

Not a bad concept, not sure there were many recipes that my kids would enjoy - seemed to be a lot of prep work. We didn't try the recipes, but I did find some more ideas for getting the kids to eat food we already serve.

Also, half the book is recipes, the other half is how-to and background info about why to use certain ingredients.

Not enough pictures either.

This book is far superior, in my view, to the blatant rip-off book by Jessica Seinfeld. The chocolate chip cookies and the breading recipes have been particular favorites.
