Being Digital is a classic visionary title from the mid 1990s that has proven itself to be quite prescient. The rise of the now ubiquitous smart phone and voice activated digital assistants like Siri, Alexa, and Google are the everyday realizations MIT Media Lab Director Nicholas Negropnte predicted when he wrote this book. Though it comes from an era of clunky desktop computers, hulking laptops, and the squeaks and squawks of wired dial up connectivity, this book still provides a touchstone to where we’re headed next in the era of constant digital communication.
