I was not a huge fan of season one because it seemed overly sentimental and a bit contrived, but this season was actually really good. The characters seemed more real, and the storyline doesn't drag or seem as contrived. Plus some really good acting performances!

I am enjoying this series and will watch the third season. I am a huge Downton Abbey fan and in my humble opinion nothing is anywhere close to Downton! Each to their own!

Not nearly as good as season 1, and illustrative of the difference between 'drama' and 'soap opera'.

Not as good as the original «Upstairs, Downstairs» series which was produced in the 1970s but still watchable.

I thought the 2nd season did not keep the characters true to who they originally were. I can see why it lost ratings when people did and became things that were very hard to believe. It's too bad I thought the 1st season was good

I really enjoyed this charming finale of this short lived period drama, (canceled, evidently, due to its inability to compete in the ratings with "Downton Abbey"). Graceful, simpler times, but no less difficult than today. In fact, probably more so. Terrific cast; great writing. And a dead monkey. (lol) FIVE STARS.

I enjoyed this rich production, a little melodramatic, but closely interweaving the story with the political events of the years just prior to WW2 worked well for me
