Naomi Bowes lost her innocence the night she followed her father into the woods. In freeing the girl trapped in the root cellar, Naomi revealed the horrible extent of her father's crimes and made him infamous. Now a successful photographer living under the name Naomi Carson, she has found a place that calls to her, thousands of miles away from everything she's ever known. Naomi wants to embrace the solitude, but the residents of Sunrise Cove keep forcing her to open up - especially the determined Xander Keaton.
I loved this book, and could not put it down! Yes, at times the story moves a little slowly while they discuss the house, etc., but I still HAD to know what was going to happen.
Nora Roberts once again tells us a suspenseful tail that keeps you hooked. The romance as usual was a perfect blend of people meant for each other. You will enjoy this one.
I enjoyed this book by Nora Roberts. I like her light romance and mystery combinations. If you don't want anything too heavy and are looking for a fast read, I would recommend it.
It was good at first, but went downhill fast... In the end, I couldn't continue this. I got so sick of reading about the paint color choices for the walls, furniture, landscaping--like seriously, where is the evil guy already?!! There was just way too much emphasis on Naomi's home renovation and not enough "suspense," which is nonexistent since I already figured out the villain from the very beginning. Major disappointment.

Add a CommentA light romance with some mystery thrown in. A fast read. OK but not great.
Wow, this was a rather dark story and you don't find out until the very end who the wicked person is!
Just read this one and loved it! i definitely recommend this book!

Long boring story about house renovation, lukewarm romance, endless discussions of
photography, interior design, cooking, and landscaping
Loved this book! Great characters and a wonderful story. Couldn't put it down.

This was a good suspense novel about a young girl who witnesses horrific things and still manages to turn her life around and find love and career.
