Perfect, don't skip this read. You'd better love fantasy. It's darker and more fun than the second book, though. So you like dark reads, magic, heroes, and epic adventures?
This is your book. YOU'D BETTER READ IT. Okay?

This is totally the best series ever! At the beginning it says that the readers will race through the huge book and all the pages and the awfully big spine! They were right! It was so good! Harry Potter books are always the best!

Out of the fist three books, this was the best by FAR! I couldn’t put down the book not even for a split second! The ending was great!!! Never looked forward to starting the next book in the series as much as now! I don’t think after the third book anyone can stop reading the rest of the Harry Potter series anymore! The 3rd book is definitely when the series start to pick up!

Omgg this book was so good!! I would definitely read it over and over again! New memorable characters are introduced, the plot gets more suspenseful, some parts are sad, but it’s always lightened up by humour, and it’s very funny, lighthearted and a has a really good and happy ending! It’s an amazing book and a must read!!! Definitely has to be one of my favourite books ever! Harry Potter books are the best!

Harry Potter's third installment blew my mind at the ending. It's incredible how the author was able to create the ending and we were able to notice and understand the events. We also get introduced to one of my favorite characters in this book, and we get exposed to more of the magical world as we learn about the wizard prison, who guards that prison, and some of the vicious inmates.

This book was great! I feel that the character development here was wonderful as well as Harry finding out that the rat Pettigrew betrayed Harry's parents to Voldemort. I also loved the Knight Bus part and when Harry casts his Patronus because he thought it was his dad when he and Hermione go back in time to save Buckbeak and Sirius

This is my favourite out of all of the Harry Potter books, Sirius Black is a very solid character, his character development throughout the series was very good too.

This book is one of my favorite books of the series since it's just so good. Many new characters are introduced, and new problems arise as well. Harry Potter and other main characters mature as well. The book is way better than the movie because the book captures so many tiny details that add so much more, whereas the movie is just showing the big events. This book is the start of Harry’s and his friend's lives as young adults. You also learn more about each and every character and what they have been through. Overall, this book was wonderful and I would definitely give it 5 stars.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite prequel ever! Well, other than Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I recommend this book to everyone!

SAPPHIREBEAR15 Jun 19, 2012

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban opens on the night before Harry's thirteenth birthday, when he receives gifts by owl post from his friends at school. The next morning at breakfast, Harry sees on television that a man named Black is on the loose from prison. At this time, Aunt Marge comes to stay with the Dursleys, and she insults Harry's parents numerous times. Harry accidentally causes her to inflate. Harry leaves the Dursley's house and is picked up by the Knight Bus, but only after an alarming sighting of a large, black dog. The Knight Bus drops Harry off at Diagon Alley, where he is greeted by Cornelius Fudge, the Minister of Magic. He rents a room and awaits the start of school. In Diagon Alley, Harry finishes his schoolwork, admires a Firebolt broomstick in the window of a shop, and after some time, finds his friends Ron and Hermione. At a pet shop, Hermione buys a cat named Crookshanks, who chases Scabbers, Ron's aging pet rat. Ron is most displeased. The night before they all head off to Hogwarts, Harry overhears Ron's parents discussing the fact that Sirius Black is after Harry.

After barely surviving an attack from Dementors, Harry Potter arrives to Hogwarts School od Witchcraft and Wizardry, excited and ready to start his third year in magical education! But the school is currently under threat by a criminal named Sirius Black, therefore Dementors, creatures who suck out all the happiness in people, have come to guard the School. But why do the Dementors tend to affect Harry more than everybody else? And what is the REAL story behind Black's history?
