I liked the characters in this mystery, and the novel was hard to put down once I started reading. A very good read!

This book is now a TV series: "Instinct". Love the series and also the book.

Not one of Patterson's best. Not sure if Roughan created the plot and characters.

Another surprising character from JP. Like others, I wasn't sure if I liked it near the beginning, but it turned quickly into a fast paced thriller, with really likeable characters. I hope JP keeps this character going in future books-he's the bomb!. Great read and "can't put it down" thrill ride.

The characters are interesting - a former gay CIA agent who is a college professor, the tough female cop that all wanted to date, the computer hacker. The murder plot - a tad over the top, seems convoluted. It probably started out ok on the back of the envelope but grew more complex as the story developed. It would be good to see how it develops with the second novel.

I read the 1st chapter and though "Uh oh, don't know if I want to read this one." Then in typical Patterson (and Roughan) fashion, by the end of the 3rd chapter I was hooked again. Very interesting characters, character development and super story line. I was fooled at the beginning and fooled again at the end - and you may be as well. Or not. Read it an enjoy the ride! There was a 1-line hint dropped near the end that suggests we may see this main character(s) again. That would be fun too!

This book has a new character that I feel will be back in action again. Quick read as usual for Patterson with lots of twists an turns. Still hitting the marks with his books.
