"A Court of Thorns and Roses" was good, laying the groundwork for the series. This one is better with a very interesting ending. Feyre's powers from the seven High Lords are showing themselves. Her relationships with Rhysand and her friends are growing and replacing family ties, although she still cares for her sisters. She explores and exults in the freedom she has now to grow and change and take on challenges. There is devastating war with the King of Hybern on the horizon and the Fae reach out to mortal queens, who are selfish, misguided and only after power for themselves. (sounds like "Lord of the Rings.") Not a good idea. But the reader knows that and will have to wait for other stories to find out what happens there. Watch for the scene where Feyre saves Rhys from death by poisonous arrows. And the scene when she rediscovers painting. I'm ready for the saga to continue in the next book.
