Summary

Set in post-WWI, college student Jillian Leigh has just learned that her estranged Uncle Toby has died; her parents are in Paris, leaving Jillian to identify the body and arrange his effects. Despite her misgivings, Jillian travels to the small seaside town of Rothewell, where her uncle was in engaged in paranormal research into the mysterious appearance of the local ghost, Walking John. Jillian learns are too quickly that there is something to Toby’s ghost hunting occupation and there may be more to Toby’s death than his apparent accident. Joining forces with the young and handsome RAF pilot turned Scotland Yard Detective, Drew Merriken, the pair investigate Toby’s death and the possible supernatural cause behind it.
